Monumental Nativity

The Monumental Nativity is housed in a wing of the Art Institute. Designed and wanted by Serafino Mattucci since 1955. Gianfranco Trucchia and subsequently Roberto Bentini were fundamental for its creation. It consists of 54 life-size statues, essential in their column structure but fantastic in the originality of the shapes and in the preciousness of the color and decorative elements. A collective intervention of students and teachers, where creative freedom and imagination are linked to the modules and techniques of traditional craftsmanship.
